We provide photographs to all types of editorial - architectural journals, magazines, national press, book publishers and commercial clients - advertising agencies, graphic designers, contractors, architects, and developers.
Editorial
Editorial images can not be used for any commercial advertising or promotional usage. Can be used in newspapers and magazines, editorial broadcasts, documentaries, non-commercial websites, blogs, and social media posts illustrating matters of public interest. Can’t be used for book or magazine covers, commercial, promotional, advertorial, endorsement, advertising, or merchandising purposes in any media (e.g. print, commercial broadcast, film, digital). Anyone in your organization can use it an unlimited number of times for up to 15 years, worldwide, with uncapped indemnification.
(RM) rights-managed
Limited to the specific use, medium, period of time, print run, placement, size of content, and territory selected, and any other restrictions that accompany the content on the ArchExplorer website or in an order confirmation or invoice. Non-Exclusive, meaning that, unless otherwise indicated on the website, your invoice, sales order, or separation agreement, you do not have exclusive rights to use the content. The cost of an image from ArchExplorer is calculated based on various factors that are associated with its intended usage, including the media in which it will be used, the size of the image, the duration of usage, placement, geographic distribution, and exclusivity. You can determine the cost of an image by visiting the preview page of the selected image. It is important to note you need to have a registered account with archexplorer.com

Who, besides me, can use the licensed content? The rights granted to you are non-transferable and non-sublicensable, meaning that you cannot transfer or sublicense them to anyone else. There are two exceptions:
Employer or client. If you are purchasing on behalf of your employer or client, then your employer or client can use the content. In that case, you represent and warrant that you have the full legal authority to bind your employer or client to the terms of this agreement. If you do not have that authority, then your employer or client may not use the content. The rights purchased may only belong to you or your employer/client, depending on who is named as the “Licensee” at the time of purchase.
Subcontractors. You may allow subcontractors (for example, your printer or mailing house) or distributors to use content in any production or distribution process related to your final project or end-use. These subcontractors and distributors must agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement and may not use the content for any other purpose.
Who owns the content? All the licensed content is owned by content suppliers. All rights not expressly granted in this agreement are reserved by ArchExplorer and the content suppliers. You may not assert any right to revenue from a collecting society, social media website, content-sharing platform, or any other third party in respect of photocopying, digital copying, sharing, distribution or other secondary uses of the licensed content. You do not own the file, but you have the right to use it.
If you use a file without proper licensing, you are infringing on the copyright and can be held liable.
Do I need to include a photo credit? You do not need to include a photo credit for commercial use, but if you are using Content for editorial purposes, you must include a credit adjacent to the content or in production credits. The credit should be in the following form or as otherwise stipulated in the caption information accompanying the content on the ArchExplorer website:
“[Photographer Name] / ArchExplorer ” or Social Media: “[Photographer Name] / @ArchExplorer ”
